Honestly, this story has its humble beginnings all the way back around the year 2000. A few friends who happened to role-play on a weekly basis decided to attempt the development of a video game. The original work started on a mod for a popular first person shooter of the time and had to be cancelled for reasons that we really don’t want to talk about. Despite the setback on that particular project, our creativity and desire to contribute to the gaming community continued to inspire us to press forward. Over the years, we have continually bounced ideas off of one another about various video game concepts, all the while getting together religiously each week to sling dice and embody various alternate personalities in modern, historical, science fiction, and fantasy settings.

As recently as 2012, our group of friends embarked on yet another video game project only for progress to slow down and diminish. Finally, the idea was tossed out about creating a small supplement for a popular role-playing setting. We felt like we had all of the necessary talent to complete such a task and that it would prove to be fun. We were right.

This project has been a blast to work on even though it has been a tremendous amount of work for 5 people to undertake; we are just a small group of friends working together to realize a dream. We’re not going to lie and say it has been a cakewalk. There have been a fair share of disagreements, folks joining the project, and folks leaving the project just as any business venture will have but we have persevered to bring our dream to your table. So, you thought we were talking about a supplement, right? Well, once we really got into the spirit of the project, we were cranking out new concepts and content at an amazing pace that we decided to think a bit broader. It wasn’t long before the idea of a supplement began to grow and evolve into the product represented by this book.
